Four families have sued the city of Chico, alleging their children contracted a strain of E. coli after swimming at Sycamore Pool in summer 2025.
The lawsuit claims the city operated the pool without the proper license, failed to conduct required water testing and did not warn swimmers about potentially dangerous conditions. Chico officials dispute the allegations.
