We all hear that familiar tune once in awhile....it's different to many, but the same to all.
Hello everyone, today I bring a song from my soul.....To be truthful I haven't been feeling great as of late, mentally I mean. I have been dealing with depression that just refuses to go away....But as the song suggest, we all have that little something that we go to in order to breath some life back into us be it a song, a lover, family, friends, or the great out doors. We all have something that at least puts a half smile on our faces from time to time, and it's those special somethings that we hold dearest to us. For me, it's music, a familiar tune that I find myself always circling back too....but that tune can take on many shapes, it's different to many, but the same to all. Coping with depression isn't fun, but in this black and white world, there is something that splashes color into our worlds.
Sorry if the mixing on the vocals is....a bit weird to put it lightly. I don't mix vocals offend, but I hope the lyrics themselves can get the point of the song across. Love you all, and stay safe both physically and mentally, and as always, stay awesome! ((PS....Why oh why youtube did you crop my picture weirdly....eh to lazy right now to fix it.))

Lyrics:
Life goes on, or so they tell you
But do not mention that
every cut, every lie tells us why we wish to go and die
why we wish to go fly
They say
Get back up, suck it up
as if it is just that easy
Every sneer, every tear fills us full of never ending fear
that we might just step off....but then
We hear that familiar tune that sings clearly
Could be a song, could be a voice long gone
It picks the broken up and tells us we're enough
that we must stay strong, that we are not far gone
could be memories, could be a smile carefree
someone to remind that we are still the same
A warm hug, a caring grin, our hearts mend
the pieces of our souls now are as one.
Could be god, could be faith to give us weight
To make us wake up and say I want to stay
Could be a guitar, could be a violin
Strings that reverberate all the seams of fate
This old tune is different, yet it's the same
for everyone who feels that they are to blame
It rings clearly, and distracts us from sorrow
and it rest assured that we'll see tomorrow.
It's your fault, or so they tell you
but fail to see that you've
Tried and tried, fought and fought
To keep it all nearly on the shelf, if there's anything left.
They say
You're useless, you're lying as if
all the tears are see through.
Laying alone sobbing as the pain grows and grows leaving stains
Hiding all of the shame.....but then
We hear that familiar tune that sings clearly
Could be a song, could be a voice long gone
It picks the broken up and tells us we're enough
that we must stay strong, that we are not far gone
could be memories, could be a smile carefree
someone to remind that we are still the same
A warm hug, a caring grin, our hearts mend
