According to Nelson Goodman, "We are tempted to say that the facts are determined when the framework is chosen; but then we must recognize that facts and frameworks differ only in scope, and that a mistake may be made in either. An astronomer miscalculating the position of a planet very likely has a wrong fact under a right framework, while a guard who shot prisoners ordered to stand still, explaining that they then moved rapidly around the sun, seems to have a right fact under a wrong framework." (In Of Mind and Other Matters. Harvard University Press. 1984, p. 14).
Please offer a modest list of the mathematicians (and/or scientists) who actually use the expression, "objective truth." I rarely, if ever, hear scientists talk that way. Sounds more like ideological scientism than science, but, how about we just hear the list.
Please explain the key differences between mathematical proofs and empirical statements about the world. Numbers are eidetic, not empirical entities in the world, right? To what does "0" refer?
Please address in specific detail the different "alpha coefficients" that are used in different areas of science to determine a "statistically significant" finding: pharmacy, engineering, physics, geology, chemistry, biology, psychology, sociology, economics, etc.
Also please see Bateson's essay on the difference between number and quantity. He suggests that you can have exactly 3 tomatoes but you can never have exactly 3 gallons of water. Does this make him Postmodern in your view? oikos.org/batesnumber.htm
Regarding "the Good, the Beautiful, and the Just." Is slavery Just? is it Good? Is it Beautiful?
I was not going to post this video, but then I heard through the grapevine that RockinMrE had already blocked Pyrrho314 prior to his video. I personally find it distasteful and suspect that RockinMrE could be so contentious and dismissive to Pyrrho, acting as if talking to him, all the while knowing that Pyrrho was very very unlikely to see the video. Pretty dishonest, snarky and cowardly (I deeply apologize if this assertion is untrue but if I find out that it is true, I am done listening to RockinMrE).
