Sorry about the confusion with the Lonesome Drifter; if you want to skip that part of the video, all you need to do with him is go up to him, ask him about his story, be supportive and don't try and tell him what he should do; when the option comes up to tell him he should settle down, do that, and then you can safely ask him about the Tops.
