Six Flags Qiddiya City has officially released the Falcon’s Flight roller coaster POV, and instead of just reposting the footage, I wanted to break it down and share my honest thoughts and reactions—because some of them might surprise you. Falcon’s Flight is being billed as the tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster in the world, and after watching the POV, there’s no denying just how massive and ambitious this coaster really is. From the scale to the setting to the record-breaking stats, this is unlike anything the coaster world has ever seen.
In this video, I dive into what I love about Falcon’s Flight based on the POV—including the first drop, the wave turn, the launched hill up the quarry wall, the breathtaking off-the-wall track section with insane views, the 90-degree drop, the massive launch, and the camelback hill. But I also talk about what doesn’t quite land for me. The POV makes the first half of the ride feel slower than expected, there appears to be a lack of airtime, no inversions, a slow crest over the camelback, and an ending that doesn’t seem to fully capitalize on the ride’s insane potential.
