On February 6, 2018, SpaceX conducted a successful launch of the FALCON HEAVY from NASA's Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
The FALCON HEAVY becomes the most powerful operational rocket in the world and will be able to deliver twice as much cargo as the next largest rocket at 1/3 the cost!
SpaceX planned to land 3 "boosters" intact, however, only 2 landed as planned. The third crashed in the ocean and was partly recovered.
FALCON HEAVY's test payload is a Tesla Roadster with a dummy in a spacesuit named "Starman" that the company says will attempt to place it into precessing Earth-Mars elliptical orbit around the sun.
