Faith makes you vulnerable because it requires you to surrender the illusion of control. Our instinct is to manage outcomes, protect ourselves, and make sure life unfolds according to our plans. But faith asks us to trust. It means admitting that God is God—and we are not. That kind of surrender is uncomfortable because it leaves no room for self-sufficiency. It forces us to acknowledge that our security isn't found in our ability to control life, but in God's ability to govern it.

Faith also makes you vulnerable because the truth has never been the popular path. Throughout Scripture, those who chose obedience were often misunderstood, rejected, ridiculed, or even persecuted. Following Christ means being willing to stand apart when the culture moves in the opposite direction. It means valuing God's approval over public acceptance.

When you stop pretending to be in control, you discover the peace of knowing the One who actually is. When you choose truth over popularity, obedience over comfort, and trust over certainty, your faith becomes more than a belief—it becomes a declaration that God is worthy of your confidence, even when the cost is high. That's not weakness. That's courage.
