Super excited to share my first original song of 2022 with you! I was lucky enough to receive the voice synth Tsurumaki Maki as the prize in a contest held on Twitter so you know I'm gonna make a ton of tracks using this wonderful voicebank. Also very happy to have been able to work with an artist I've looked up to for a long time now. Arianna's work is absolutely wonderful so be sure to follow her on Twitter! Akame did an amazing job bringing Arianna's art to life - I'm honored to have been able to work with such a talented visual team.
A bit about the title for those interested: Fair is Foul is a reference to that infamous line from Shakespeare's Macbeth, "Fair is foul and foul is fair". While at first glance a simple line, it leaves room for speculation, allowing for an infinite amount of interpretations. Isaka Kotaro touches upon this line in his book "Aru Kingu" - and while I'm not certain if there is an English translated version of his book available, I'd highly recommend giving some of his works a look over for anyone interested.
