This was a WiFi distribution node in the mid 2000's, providing broadband (if you could call it that) to the local community (shared 1mbps ADSL line). It was mounted on a pole on my roof, exposed all year around to the Irish weather. We had a mesh network of nodes, of which this was one. Has not been used in at least 5 years, probably a lot longer. But when it was in use, it worked great.
