This one is officially the longest remix on the channel. In this remix, I focused on story, length, realism, and restraint. For the story bit of this, I analyzed the Faerie Island trailer and attempted to grasp the atmosphere of the dark eerie forest. For length... that's pretty self explanatory. If you don't understand that, I'm a bit worried for you... I'm trying to make longer orchestral remixes to get some practice for movie scoring which I hope to take a jab at on this channel sometime this year. In terms of realism, I tried to use more sounds from the instruments I was using (mainly the brass) to make it sound like it was being played by a performer. For example: The trumpets around 1:52 play staccato notes as well as marcato notes. Restraint. Restraint of what you may ask? I retrained myself from using staccato strings to carry the beat of the remix because I overuse that. I also tend to overuse French horn crescendos as a transitional element.
