Hi butterflies!!!

This was for my final project in my Drawing II class. I had to take a piece I made earlier in the semester and expand on the theme to make a set of three pieces that look like they can go together. I chose a piece I made on endangered animals. The original piece is three endangered animals in black and white against their respective colored backgrounds. I had them in black and white to represent how the animals were fading from our planet just as the color faded from them in the piece. In that piece I also had to incorporate map lines, so I used the lines to separate the animals and it also makes it look like we are looking in on them through a map. To expand on this I kept the map looking lines and made it so when all three pieces are lined up the lines connect. As well as this I kept the black and white animals with colored backgrounds. However, I broadened my theme to include extinct animals as well as endangered. To represent this the extinct animals are full skeletal figures. This means the first piece is normal animals and the last is full skeletons. To ease the transition the middle piece is critically endangered animals, so they are represented by half normal, half skeletal figures. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter you've probably seen the first piece. If not I highly recommend checking it out^^

This piece is probably my least favorite of the three, but I still do like it. I did it all in one night on no sleep, so it wasn't a super enjoyable process. The next piece I had more time to complete, so I was able to get it looking more how I wanted. The main thing I don't like is the texturing on the animals in this piece. Overall though I am quite happy with the end result. That's all I got, see ya next Friday for the third (probably my favorite) piece^^

P.s. anyone else notice I forgot to do the eye on the condor XD Thankfully my teacher didn't lol
