Factions are the fastest way to make an OSR campaign feel alive—without writing a plot and without turning your prep into homework. In this video, I show a simple, table-ready method for building factions in dungeons and in the outside world using just a few lines: what they want, what they have, what they fear, and who they need (or hate). Then we walk through two concrete mini-scenarios you can steal: a dungeon with competing groups and a town with three powers pulling in different directions.
