Authors telling Great War stories varied from those telling stories from their own experiences, to those who based their stories off the experiences of others. Willa Cather, an already accomplished author in 1914, found her connections and inspiration through the lives family who she lost in the war. Join Tracy Tucker, the Director of Collections and Curation at the National Willa Cather Center, as she builds the context in which Cather wrote her WWI related works, and provides methods for using Cather’s work in the classroom.
