I was so nervous about this week's theme: Abstract! I have seen Alexa's abstract faces and they are SO cool and just filled with geometric shapes and elements. She's just so good at it! Wellllllll, me? I wasn't even sure how to start. I knew I would be using watercolors again because they are life to me -- any time you are unsure about how to start, grab your favorite medium! Then I thought well, abstract to me would be just not sketching before hand so I went and painted my entire girl with no sketching whatsoever. A little bit about this collaboration: Alexa came to me with this idea because she knows I love painting flowers (mostly in watercolor but also in acrylic) and had been dabbling in drawing/painting more faces. She draws the most amazing girls and has wanted to paint more florals - thus the collaboration was born! We can each inspire each other and challenge each other to grow in areas that we want to. The best part, we're sharing the process with all of you!
