Day 6 after my facelift was one of those days where my thoughts didn’t line up neatly. The swelling is still there, the healing is still happening, and my brain felt a little all over the place. I decided to leave this video exactly as it is because this was genuinely how the day felt.

In this video, I talk through Day 6 of facelift recovery in a very unpolished way. Some rambling, some checking in, some processing out loud. If you’re researching facelift recovery, this is a realistic look at how the mental side can feel when you’re tired, healing, and still waiting for your face to settle.

About my facelift journey (for context):
I’m 52 and I’ve lost about 120 pounds over the last few years, which left me with significant loose skin on my face and neck. This was something I thought about for a long time, researched carefully, and chose to do when the timing felt right.

I chose Dr. Paige Kennedy in Lafayette, Louisiana, through Hubbell Dermatology.

My procedures included a facelift, neck lift, upper blepharoplasty (lid lift), a lower lid pinch, fat grafting from the stomach to the temples and under eyes, earlobe reduction, and salivary gland reduction to improve jawline definition. The total cost was in the low five figures, which I share to help answer common questions and set realistic expectations.

Each video in this facelift recovery series stands on its own, so you don’t have to watch them in order. If you’re following along or researching your own recovery, this one reflects the mental fog that can show up even when physical healing is moving forward.

Day 5 after my facelift, and while recovery is slow, I'm finding ways to manage. My **sleep position** has been crucial for getting **sleep better**, especially with a new setup of **pillows**. This has led to noticeable **pain reduction**, making the overall journey more comfortable and helping with the remaining **acute pain**.
