Here we have a nice player piano rendition of "Wonderful! Wonderful!" played by Max Kortlander (aka J. Lawrence Cook) and originally issued as QRS 9474 and reissued as part of a 3-song medley entitled "Johnny Mathis Hits" on QRS XP-376. Originally a top 20 hit for Johnny Mathis in 1957, the remake version by The Tymes shot to the top 10 in 1963.
A note about Max Kortlander: Mr. Kortlander stopped making piano rolls after he acquired the QRS Company in 1931. After that time he devoted his time to the business aspects of the company and allowed J. Lawrence Cook to use the Kortlander name.
