Here we have a fine player piano rendition of "Earth Angel" played by J. Lawrence Cook and issued as QRS 9136 and reissued as part of a 3-song medley entitled "The Doo-Wop Roll" on QRS XP-445. Composed by Jesse Belvin, this song was a number 1 Rhythm and Blues hit for The Penguins and a top 5 pop cover hit for The Crew-Cuts in 1955. A remake by New Edition hit the top 25 in 1986.
