Dizzy on the Comedown - OC animatic meowzers 2024-04-29 | Context (this is the long version if u wanna know all the details, I’ll put a TLDR as well if you just care about the animatics storyline): Petalpaw of Thunderclan and Crystalpaw of Riverclan meet each other One day while both walked by the border, Petalpaw to think about things that had happened in her life and hopefully find some food for the clan while she’s at it, and Crystalpaw who was looking for a new friend to make outside of Riverclan as she’s already besties with (almost) every other Riverclan apprentice. To both of the young she cat’s surprise, something much deeper than friendship was about to formed through this first meeting. Petalblaze and Crystalshine eventually become mates, both deputies now they’ve sworn to keep both of their clans at peace while they’re still alive. Crystalstar and Petalstar have a son, Lightningkit who was born on the day of a harsh storm (yes they are both females I don’t care if that’s unrealistic bc it’s fictional cats with a religion and complex society if Ashfur can posses his ex’s husband my lesbian ocs can have kids) most of the clan sees this as a bad omen, but Crystalstar believes that this means Lightningkit with be strong as the raging storm, and can survive even the harshest of situations. Petalstar, less concerned with prophecies and such is just happy to have a kit to pass on her strategies and stories to. Unfortunately, Crystalstar dies in battle, protecting the nursery from a fox attack. She chases the fox off but never returns… at least not alive. Petalstar is mortified when Slatestar announces her predecessors passing, as she could’ve sworn Crystalstar had at least a few of her lives left. Although she has her suspicions, Petalstar asks Lightningpaw if he’d like to join her in Thunderclan full-time, instead of staying in Riverclan with his adoptive sister. He agrees and leaves with Petalstar to join Thunderclan. Lightningpaw while out on his first solo hunting mission, meets a headstrong and fiery kittypet named Red. They get along almost immediately, and when Lightningpaw brings Red to Petalstar, she agrees to allow Red (now Redpaw) to stay in Thunderclan. They grow up, and Petalstar sees Lightningmist find the same warmth and love in Redhawk as she did with Crystalstar. Knowing that her son is happy and safe with a cat he can lean back on, she is assured that when her time comes to leave, that everything will be alright in the end.Petalstar passes away after a battle with the now deceased Slatestar after finding out from Silentshade (Lightningmists adoptive Riverclan sister) that her suspicions had been correct, and the cat to bring Crystalstar down was Slatestar. Crystalstar is there to guide Petalstar to Starclan, having never actually made the journey there herself as she wanted to wait for her son to grow up, and for her love to come with her on the journey to the afterlife. Lightningstar and Redhawk are now content and happy in their home, both feel Petalstar’s death weigh heavy on their hearts, especially Lightningstar who was always a big mammas boy, but they will keep going and bring up new adventures with their own kits. Lightningstar promises to teach his kits of both his mothers and all their achievements so that their memories will live on for as long as he can make it.
