This video appears to have captured some of the gunshots fired by police during the incident tonight.

Eyewitnesses have said armed cops were on the scene in minutes and people pointed them in the direction of the terrorists.

There are reporters that at least two of the attackers were shot dead.

One account suggested the were wearing black belts with canisters around their waists.
Attack happened at around 10pm

Alex Shellum was in The Mudlark pub, close to London Bridge, at around 10pm when a woman in her early 20s “staggered into the pub”.

“She was bleeding heavily from the neck and from her mouth,” he told BBC News.

“It appeared to myself and to my friends that her throat had been cut. People went to her aid.”

He said the pub was then closed and armed police told them to leave the area.

He said: “I could see on my left a further individual was having CPR performed on them by the emergency services.”

'Controlled explosion' in London Bridge

An explosion - believed to be controlled by police - has just gone off in London Bridge.

At least seven people have died, according to The Sun.

The attack happened outside the newspaper’s headquarters by London Bridge.

Attackers stormed restaurant and stabbed people at random

The attackers stormed the Black and Blue restaurant in London Bridge and stabbed people at random, according to witnesses.

Jag Sandue told The Sun Online: “There were people throwing chairs and glasses outside and I thought it might just be a fight.

“Then I realised it was more than that, people were running.

“Next thing we know, they’re in our restaurant. People were screaming ‘they’ve got knives’.”

Met Police confirm 'terrorist incidents'

The Metropolitan Police have declared the incidents at London Bridge and Borough Market as terrorism.

The incident at Vauxhall has turned out to be an unrelated stabbing.

'Three attackers shouted "This is for Allah" - witness claims'

A man has claimed the three attackers shouted “This is for Allah!” while stabbing people.

The apparent witness, called Eric, was speaking live on the BBC when he made the claim a short time ago.

He was describing the men as having jumped out of the van before knifing people at random.

As far as the Mirror is aware, this is the first and only claim so far that the attackers shouted “This is for Allah”.

Crowds shouted to armed police "He's down there!"

Liam, who was in a flat above Southwark Tavern next to London Bridge, told BBC Radio 5 Live: “We heard people screaming and we looked out and I saw people running down into the underground, and simply running in any direction they could.

“The restaurant opposite had been completely smashed up, and a crowd of people were pointing into the market saying ‘he’s down there’.

“They got the attention of what looked like an armed police car, and pointed down Borough Market.

“The car screeched in that direction and we heard what sounded like five or six very loud gun shots.”
