🦆 LIVE for 45 – Platypus! Week 4 🧶
Welcome back to LIVE for 45! 💜
This week, we’re continuing our slightly weird, wonderfully wonky amigurumi platypus adventure, and our little friend is really starting to come to life!
It’s Week 4, and today we’re concentrating on some of those details that can completely change the personality of our platypus.
👀 EYE SELECTION & ATTACHMENT
We’ll be choosing the eyes for our platypus and deciding exactly where they should go before we commit to attaching them. Eye placement can make a surprisingly big difference to an amigurumi’s expression!
🦆 THE THREE LEGS – SHOULD I WORK THEM OFFLINE?
We’ll have a chat about whether I should work the three legs separately, offline, rather than trying to complete every single part while we’re live. There’s always a balance between keeping everything on camera so nobody misses a stitch and making sure the project actually progresses!
👃 LET'S TALK NOSTRILS!
A platypus bill needs nostrils — but how should we represent them in crochet? We’ll discuss the options and decide exactly how we're going to portray those little details on our platypus's bill.
As always, this isn't about racing to the finish. We're taking our time, figuring things out together, chatting, laughing, and hopefully creating a rather fabulous little weird, rare and wonderful platypus along the way. 💜
