You can get FREE protective eye glasses to keep your eyes safe this 4th of July thanks to Reeya and Rishi Chundury. In 2022, the Omaha teens started an effort to provide the glasses after their dad, Nebraska Medicine ophthalmologist Rao Chundury, MD, was often called in to perform emergency eye surgeries because of injuries from fireworks. Today, they've donated more than 10,000 pairs of glasses which can be picked up at various Nebraska Medicine locations and other spots around the state.
