Alaska's extreme seasons and lack of skate parks have created a close community of skateboarders who sometimes skate in underground parking garages, on concrete traffic barriers, and on homemade backyard half pipes.
Garrett Swenson is from Cordova, Alaska but he's finding community in Anchorage through skateboarding and music. When he's not skating, he can be found rapping in Eyak and English with his brother in their musical group, Brother Buffalo. #alaska #skateboarding #indigenouspeoplesday
