Came out ok, focus is a little soft. I need to securely mount the camera stand. We are working with the limitation of the S8 medium though.

An interesting one, probably from the early 2000s based on poly base and non-cyan soundtrack. Plus this was the era where cam copies of movies were most rampant.
I have no idea where this came from. I think I found it in a junk box in a store room of a cinema I worked at.")

From what I can gather this clip is theatre patrons arriving for the evening, being interviewed by the Herald Newsreel and being told that the footage they are appearing in was to be rushed through processing and then projected at interval later that same night. Probably a technically impressive novelty at the time.
Although this is an unknown year. Gladys Moncrieff being interviewed at 0:29 looks of a similar age to another clip from 1930 so guessing early/mid 1930s.")

Part of a Gaumont newsreel from what seems to be the early 30s. Although it seems like it might be cut together from various newsreels looking at the title cards and content. The rest of the reel starts with a title card for the Universal British News so I think someone has just made a mash up at some point. There are two sections with absolutely awful variable density soundtracks that I could not pull any nice audio from, the skiing section and the planes at the end, I apologise for those. I have had this for years and I think I got it off the 35mm forums years ago though if you know anything about Nitrate film you can understand why I dont really like having it in the house.")

Havent had a chance to do many new scans lately. A viewer was interested in colour correcting this one from a few years ago so decided to upload a raw 4K version. The raw frame captures are the same but everything else is new, re-tracked with a better more precise method and the audio has been re-extracted.")
