A cold front will approach the region Tuesday, bringing hotter temperatures, increasing humidity, and a much more favorable environment for strong to severe thunderstorms.

The Charlotte area is currently under a medium risk, signaling a greater potential for impactful storms than we've seen recently. This doesn't mean we will see a lot of storms, they're still scattered, but the ones that do form may become strong to severe.

Storm potential will depend on cloud cover and stability from previous days. Under our current weather conditions, thunderstorm complexes form in the Midwest and diving Southeast. With suitable heat and humidity, the line can become dangerous quickly, or bring cool and cloudy air early to squash storms.

Trends point to the first scenario but our team will keep you updated throughout the week. For now, stay weather alert, and know the forecast can change! #Weather #Forecast
