The weather has been, quite literally, off the charts this summer, with massive heatwaves across much of the US. Excessive heat warnings, watches, and advisories have seemingly become the norm. Death Valley is already the hottest place on the entire planet and this summer it almost broke the all time heat record. Such extreme temperatures pose severe risks to people.
