On the back of robust demand for Korean instant noodles, snacks, and processed rice products, South Korea's exports of agricultural goods reached a record high during the first nine months of this year.
According to the agriculture ministry, exports of agricultural goods rose more than 8-percent on-year, amounting to 7-point-3-8 billion U.S. dollars between January and September.
Exports of instant noodles or "ramyeon" in Korean, jumped around 30-percent on-year to a record high of 9-hundred-38 million dollars.
Processed rice products such as gimbap also soared more than 41-percent, and have already surpassed last year's total sales.
Exports of snacks gained more than 15-percent on-year, while those of beverages also climbed more than 13-percent.
