George E. Norcross III was criminally indicted Monday on wide-ranging corruption charges in a scheme that enabled him to land millions in lucrative real estate deals in the state’s poorest city. Platkin in a press conference that was bizarrely attended by Norcross himself, who sat prominently in the very front row, saying nothing as the state’s top prosecutor laid out the charges in a 111-page inditement.
