A short walkthough of the 2nd Class Main Lounge, now called the Britannia Room, onboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Miss Margot Gilbert painted all the illustrations in this room, all on hide. She also designed the etched-niche mirror in green glass located near the front of the room. During the final years of sailing, the Mary acted as a cruise ship, so this room was re-themed with Spanish style windows, awnings and flower boxes to create what was called the "Flamenco Room." It was with this themed décor that the room arrived in Long Beach. It was later turned back to it's original style during the remodeling in the 70's.
