A walkthough of the Main Hall and Observation Bar onboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach. The Main Hall has also been known as Band Street and Piccadilly Circus. Located between the first and mid funnels, the Main Hall was the central area for First Class to meet up and do some shopping. Shops offered back in the day included a clothing store, tobacco store, and a book store. Above the staircase is a beautifully sculpted mural of Queen Mary by Lady Hilton Young. This was later replaced by a replica. Below that would have been the Royal Standard Flag presented by the Queen, which was later moved to the QE2 and replaced with a picture of the Queen.
