Exploring the Historic Beauty of Durham! 🏰
Join us on Andrew & Karen's Travels as we head into the heart of Durham for a full day of exploration. After a quick park and ride trip, we start our day by the river, taking in the stunning views of the Old Bridge before heading up toward the iconic Cathedral and Castle.
In this video, we:
Durham Cathedral: We take a look inside this immense building (it’s been 10 years since our last visit!), admire the incredible stonework, the Transfiguration window, and the unbelievable 300,000-brick LEGO Cathedral model!
Durham Castle: We joined a guided tour to see parts of the castle you can’t normally access, including the Norman Chapel and the self-supporting "Black Stairs."
City Exploration: From the marketplace to the river walk, we discover the charm and history packed into this World Heritage site.
