EXPLORING DORSET on a HIMALAYAN
This is follow up to the Jurassic Coast and Piddles and Puddles tour. In this episode we begin at Whiteway Hill viewpoint which overlooks Lulworth Range (military firing range). After taking in the breathtaking views we ride down to Tyneham on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, 2-up. Tyneham is a ghost village within Lulworth Range. It's a very interesting place, but a little sad to think how the families were displaced when the military took it over in 1943. Next stop is at Kimmeridge Bay where we had a light lunch before heading for Lulworth Cove. We passed through West Lulworth, which is another lovely village, before arriving at a very busy Lulworth Cove. Not being particularly comfortable around so many people we ended the days explorations there, (after a short chat with rockyroads_adv from Instagram) and rode back to Sutton Poyntz and our home for a few days.
The following day was a wet start so we left the bike and drove to Corfe Castle. We had a walk around and some lunch and then went on to Portland Bill like proper tourists. We had a really nice few days in Dorset. The coast is beautiful, the villages are very pretty and there's some great roads in between.
