Well, we've visited this mine before (the 1,000 foot shaft we climbed down) but I learned some interesting things in talking to locals, and I wanted to share that with y'all. Although I could not verify this information online, the locals swear that this mine was retrofit by the government to be a nuclear fallout shelter! So, my dad and I are revisiting this incredible abandoned mine, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
