On a long drive through the Deep South I happen to stumble upon a home tucked away time the road that was clearly left abandoned. This home was once owned a pilot who served in the Air Force and also did many air shows, in 2014 during one of the air shows he lost control of the single engine aircraft and fatally crashed. But the loss of a family member wasn’t all that caused the fall of this home. Only a couple of years later a tornado ripped through the town and basically destroyed the home with massive amounts of water damage. This unfortunate turn of events forced them to move away and they ended up leaving everything behind.
Even though I’ve explored hundreds of abandoned homes the ones like this with every memory forgotten about always have me asking the same question. Why leave your entire life to decay?
I would say a lesson to take away from this as well as most of the abandoned houses we see is that we shouldn’t take life for granted because we never know if we’ll make it to tomorrow. So cherish the loves you love and live every moment like it’s your last.
