While on board the Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas, we went to the pool deck on deck 11 to create an in-depth tour of this popular cruise ship feature. The Explorer of the Seas main pool area features two good-sized (for a cruise ship) swimming pools, four hot tubs, a pool bar, a large outdoor movie screen and many lounge chairs. Some of the lounge chairs are in a stadium seating configuration that leads up to deck 12. On deck 12 you’ll find even more seating that overlooks the main pool area to one side and the ocean to the other. Guests can check out towels or life vests for the kids for no charge. The adults only Solarium is not included in this main pool area tour and features an additional pool, pair of hot tubs and bar.
While filming this Explorer of the Seas pool area we saw the worlds number one cruiser with over 10,000 Crown & Anchor points. Mario Salcedo has been continuously living on cruise ships since 2000. I briefly chatted with him while on the cruise and he’s was super nice!
