Once a 19th-century British Army explosives compound, this 1.3-hectare site in Central’s heart was abandoned in the 1980s before its phoenix-like revival. With support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and global donors, award-winning Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects transformed these heritage buildings into a modern cultural powerhouse in 2012.
