This movie has been created by Arthur Stammet for the Fractalforums.com Annual Fractal Art Competition 2013.
Based on a Mandelbulb fractal, which has been rendered in August and September 2012 with Mandelbulb 3D, and on an electronic suite, composed in march 2005 (Door Blues), this movie is a kind of "double remix", created with Adobe Premiere CS5 and some Prodad Vitascene Effects. Based on the music, itself rearranged in order to last exactly ten minutes, the movie strongly differs from its original footage, presented in the two previously created "Super Constellations"-Movies.
Under its new title, this work represents an entirely new approach and comes with a new title: It describes the exploration of a complex but familiar fractal world, moving through numerous morphings. The highly nested structure of the fractal repeats itself from the smallest up to its biggest constellations and seems to comment the soundtrack, entirely realized with the sounds of a scary door, waiting for some oil: complex ornaments and rhythms jump out of this work with an infinity of details and some repeated and therefore recognizable structures. The sound grains, created with the Native Instruments Reaktor Synthesizer, have been glued together in order to hear the scary song (The Blues) of my screaming door: complex rhythms under- and overlying saxophone-like sounds in a dramatic jam session.
This is the result of the double exploration of some fractal footage and an already existing musical piece.
