As testimony concluded in the Lindsay Clancy trial, defense attorney Kevin Reddington asked prosecution expert Dr. Gregory Saathoff whether the prosecution's opening statement reflected what Clancy was experiencing. Saathoff testified that the statement "really minimizes what she was going through."

Closing arguments are scheduled for Thursday, after which jurors will begin deliberations.

Clancy, 36, is charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson and 8-month-old Callan at the family's Duxbury home on Jan. 24, 2023.

If Clancy is convicted of first-degree murder, she faces life in prison without parole. If the jury determines she was not criminally responsible, she will be sent to a state psychiatric hospital in Massachusetts.
