Indulge yourself with textures, mark-making, colours and glazing. This is a no-pressure exercise all about trying things out and enjoying the process. The process provides wonderfully experiential learning. Unusual colour combinations can be left to reveal themselves within the layers, the scratching and scraping back, the splattering and the over-painting.

Eureka moments are given by the process itself as marks, textures, lines and colours combine unexpectedly to form the perfect scenario. This process is really lovely because it becomes an adventure, a search. It will take experimentation and interrogation, over time and through play, to develop your own personal dialogue with the medium, the colours, the line and your personality.

Try not to limit yourself with expectations but be ready to appreciate the delightful surprise.
