When you pay for a premium sketchbook you expect premium quality. This is NO LONGER the case with #Stillmanandbirn Sketchbooks. Their alpha series sketchbooks and more and more the other series are showing numerous defects on the paper (sometimes up to half of the pages!) and the cover material is now a cheapo shiny material with poorly covered corners that looks worse than the cheapest brands of student sketchbooks. After using over 70 of these sketchbooks in the last ten years and recommending them in dozens of videos I am now telling you to look elsewhere for your sketchbook needs.
Maybe it is because they were bought by a larger company called Clairefontaine several years ago that no longer cares about their customers or their comittment to quality.
