SpaceX's 50th Falcon 9 rocket raced into a clear night over Florida's Cape Canaveral after a mid-night hour liftoff on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Lifting off from SLC-40 at 5:33:00 UTC, the Block 4 Falcon 9 successfully delivered the Hispasat 30W-6 communications satellite into a Geostationary Transfer Orbit after a 33-minute climb with two burns of the rocket's upper stage. At 6,092 Kilograms, the Hispasat spacecraft was the second-heaviest GTO payload flown by Falcon 9 to date; an attempt to land the first stage on SpaceX's Autonomous Spaceport Drone Ship had to be scrubbed in the days leading up to launch due to extreme sea states in the Atlantic Ocean.
