While unleavened bread is mentioned in the Book of Genesis, the first time a period is called the Days of Unleavened Bread was in the Book of Exodus. It is also listed among the Feasts of the Lord in Leviticus 23. Did the ancient midwives, Moses' parents, Moses, and the children of Israel face tests and trials that are important for us to learn from today? What about leaven and pride? Are Christians forgetful for the spiritual miracles in their lives, like the children of Israel were for the physical miracles they saw with the plagues on Egypt and the parting of the Red Sea? Does God have a plan for those that are called? Was Moses listed in the 'Book of Life'? Are those called to be Christians predestined and listed in the Book of Life? What does the Bible show about excuses, complaining, and suffering?
