This is a fun shoot em up developed by Vampixel games, which is two people, and some playtesters.
Welcome to a single credit clear of the arcade mode with Caliburn.
Exo-calibre is a fun, inexpensive game with some good challenge in the later stages and a cute presentation that would be right at home on the Super Nes.
You can shoot, and use a melee dash to reflect bullets back at enemies and you get upgrades between stages. That's about it. The story is very lighthearted with some fun comedy moments.
I wish there was more in the way of scoring then just keep shooting
and build a modifier. The bullet reflect would be great to add to a scoring mechanic but this is not a complex game. There are enough strange design choices that need to be patched like enemies suddenly appearing when the boss is defeated but overall it's a nice game to enjoy in your down time.
