One thing I have recently discovered that is better to do on Carrier (maybe every exo zombies map) is to only upgrade when you are out of ammo, and only upgrade once at a time. This way you still have plenty of ammo to use in the higher rounds.
After round 40, I started jumping over the laser near exo slam when I turned it on instead of waiting in the back wasting my ammo.
When I started running out of ammo, I started using the gas traps as well with the teleporters.
