Born and raised in the Muslim Faith, Mehdi practiced his religion and lived the Muslim faith which was all he knew growing up. God had many different plans for Mehdi though. Through a series of experiences which included several God-appointed encounters with Christians along Mehdi’s journey, including a Canadian Pastor who asked permission to pray with Mehdi and also the woman he would marry, Lucille, his curiosity about Christianity increased. Following their marriage, Mehdi and Lucille became close friends with a couple who at one time were Muslim, but had been born again in Christ Jesus. They encouraged Mehdi and took the time to tell him about Jesus, share stories from the Bible, and encourage Mehdi to seek God in prayer for the answers he searching for. This friend gave Mehdi a Bible in his native language, Farsi, and soon Mehdi could not deny what he was seeing and experiencing. Both Mehdi and Lucille gave their lives to Jesus and were baptized together on a beach in the Persian Gulf. Mehdi is now a Pastor and devotes his life to tell as many as he can about the Salvation they can have in Jesus Christ. Mehdi knows from personal experience that when we seek Him we will find Him if we seek Him with all of our hearts.
