What awaits around the bend? A cherry tree? Utter oblivion? Until you walk it, your mind will fall endlessly through the ocean of uncertainty. So what do you fear more - the potential of doom, or the assurance of absolute freedom of choice?
Liminal horror is pretty popular at the moment. And while many try to add on the genre, attempts can be rather middling or just come off as cheesy. However, a friend recently told me about a game called The Exit 8, and after having played it, I believe there is a part of this game that contains the essence of liminal horror - without needing to be dark, have horrific monsters wandering about, and almost no loud noises to be found.
