DolphinWhisperer.org - One day out on the boat, 10 miles from land, a small bird landed on the boat. It was clearly exhausted. One of its eyes was crusted shut with salt. The bird didn't resist as i picked him up in my hands. I used a wet towel and washed the salt off his eye, then held a waterbottle top with fresh water in it close to him. It was so fun to watch him drink! The bird recovered quickly and got very comfortable with us, hopping around the boat and on us. We all fell in love with it. He stayed on the boat for a few hours as we got in the water and swam with the dolphins, and when we got close to land, he took off, headed for the island. I wondered where he came from, would he make it where he was going? We were touched deeply by that bird's visit.
