Scrappy Kathy | Exhale || LOAD Day 8 || Scraplift #16 of 2024 at Scrap Squad @scrappykathy | Uploaded May 2024 | Updated October 2024, 18 minutes ago.
The LOAD prompt was to scrap about something I do to relax. Relaxation is NOT my superpower. I stay pretty tightly-strung most of the time and I actually like that because it facilitates my ADD-fueled multi-tasking. At my age I fully understand why relaxation and sleep are important; it's just that neither comes easy for me. I like to read and stream murder mysteries and I like walking and gardening and scrapbooking, of course, but whether moving or still there's a lot of joint pain to deal with so I restlessly move from one position or activity to another, if not to relieve the pain to aat least shift it to aa different location! EXCEPT in the water -- all pain and age-related weakness and clumsiness are erased and i'm young, strong and capable and I'm able to move with grace and agility. At least that's how it feels to me.
The photo was taken at one of my physical therapy sessions and I love it because when I look at it I feel THAT feeling of floating painlessly -- both energized AND relaxed. I've doodled a stitched frame around the photo and around the circular elements that are a key part of the scraplift.
The circles are cut from scraps and the stickers and ephemera are from Amy Tangerine's Brave and Bold.
Thank you for watching!
