Namaste, India! 👋

Flying has commenced for Exercise Tarang Shakti 24, with the Indian Air Force hosting 120 #AusAirForce personnel and three EA-18G Growlers at Air Force Station Jodhpur, India.

This is the first time India has conducted Exercise Tarang Shakti, with a total of eight participating nations (including India) and 18 observer nations attending the exercise in Jodhpur.

The arrival of three No. 6 Squadron EA-18G Growlers marks the first time #AusAirForce has deployed combat aircraft to India, and provides an opportunity to showcase our advanced capabilities, support regional allies and foster international cooperation.

Our participation in Exercise Tarang Shakti 24 supports the objectives laid out within the 2024 National Defence Strategy, specifically that India is a top-tier security partner for Australia; and that Australia will continue to support India’s key role in the region by increasing the depth and complexity of our defence cooperation.
