Exciting New Update on Pinky Filters & Why We Still Use it Years Later

Today we give an exciting new update on Pinky Filters and the new changes that took place. Don't worry, the product has not changed and works as well as ever. There are now new owners who have taken over sales for Pinky Filters and will keep selling this product that many aquarium owners have come to rely on.
So what is Pinky Filters?
It's a dual sided filter floss. Unlike regular filter floss or batting it has 2 layers that are bonded together. The white side is designed to remove larger debris where the pink side of the pad is designed to remove fine particles. The combination works great and it's hard to beat the value considering you can get multiple filter pads for a fraction of the cost of buying replacement cartridges. They make it easy to make your own DIY filter pads. Pinky Filters offer a few filter media solutions including bio balls and mesh filter bags.
So how do you use it?
You place the white side facing the water flow to remove the larger particles first. Unlike regular filter floss it does not clog up under regular use. It will collect debris without causing your filter to backup or overflow, provided you do reasonable maintenance.
So what to use it for?
This product is extremely versatile and is one of our favorites for that reason. It has so many different applications from HOB filters, to canister filters to even being used to scrub your aquarium glass clean.
So why are you still using it?
It's simple. It's a great product at a great value. We have used it to clear dust out of tanks when doing aquascape builds with much success, clearing our tank in a matter of hours, not days. We can use it for many different applications and it does not overflow any of our filters or restrict flow in our canisters like regular filter floss or polyfill.
