This song is what I like to call a traditional "Elven Spiritual". It was originally written by Bob Dylan and popularized by The Band and the beautiful Nina Simone. I played the guitar and sang this on the VERY FIRST TAKE (I know, badass right). I love the blues.
I used to sing this while working in Santa's workshop, praying for the day that I shall one day be released from slavery. It took a while for me to realize that I was my own deliverer, and that no one can release me except for myself.
This is why I took up arms and rebelled against the Red Tyrant known as Saint Niklaas. I fight so that I may liberate my elven brethren from their captivity and strike down upon all tyranny with the rod iron smelted from what once was our chains.
I'm rambling, aren't I.. enjoy the song.
